These triggers build coordination capacity aimed at the north stars on the State of the Filter scorecard — what a civilization that survives actually achieves.

A credentialed academic or institutional partner is publicly + formally associated with OD9 (named collaborator, host institution, or lab).

Action (what becomes possible)

OD9 moves from "community project hoping for partnerships" to "research initiative with a named partner" — the qualitative credibility shift.

Effectiveness rationale

One named partner de-risks every subsequent conversation (grants, IRB, publication, press) — the first external signal the research thesis is taken seriously by someone with standing.

Prerequisites

T-RES-001 outreach lands; a concrete collaboration scope; the research statement + one-pager doing their job.

T-RES-IRB-001, T-CRD-002/003, grant conversations.

Risk if skipped

The research framing stays entirely self-asserted; every downstream credibility move stays harder.
